Filling Your Child’s Emotional Cup

We all need our emotional cup to be full in order to be the best version of ourselves. It is no different for children and teens. Often times, the undesirable behavior we seek to eliminate is a communication for a an unmet need. That need is often to feel a connection with you. Filling your child’s emotional cup doesn’t have to be some grand gesture or big outing. In fact, it’s the small, every day acts that will keep their cups full. Listening, showing your love and affection, being playful, validating feelings are just a few ways to fill your child’s cup.
